Aims of the HENNER GRAEFF Foundation are promotion of science and research in the field of tumor cell biology/oncology. Focus is laid on studies investigating the role of tumor-associated protease systems, related biological factors, and the underlying molecular mechanisms impacting on tumor progression and metastasis.

The Young Investigator Award is awarded to a junior scientist presenting new results with high significance for the aims of the Foundation.

The purpose of the Foundation is the promotion of science to clarify the role of the kallikrein-kinin system and related subjects in health and disease including those of the novel kallikrein-related peptidases that are derived from 14 additional structural homologous genes in the human kallikrein gene locus.

The Young Investigator Award is awarded to a junior scientist presenting impressive new data regarding the kallikrein-kinin system and related fields.

ISK2019 travel grants

(3 awardees, each 300 EUR)
8th International Symposium on Kallikreins and Kallikrein-Related Peptidases

3 travel grants will be awarded to junior scientists based on the scientific excellence of their submitted abstract and their professional CV.

General conditions:
  • PhD / MD students and early career researchers with maximum 5 years of experience since completion of PhD prior to the date of the application deadline (period spent on maternity and parental leave is not included in this limit).
  • Active participation at the 8th International Symposium on Kallikreins and Kallikrein-Related Peptidases (ISK 2019).

Applications:
Applicants are requested to submit a complete application in a single email (maximum size of all attachments is 5 MB) to: isk2019@img.cas.cz.

The application should consist of:
  • selection of the competition to which the candidate applies (it is possible to choose more than 1 competition),
  • a copy of the abstract submitted for the 8th International Symposium on Kallikreins and Kallikrein-Related Peptidases (ISK2019),
  • a structured CV including a list of publications,
  • a list of public presentations (oral and posters) at scientific meetings.

The applications will be subjected to a review process, which will start after the call is closed. The applicants will be informed about the results of the evaluation by 15 August 2019.

The deadline for submission is: 15 July 2019.
